When producing the sheets, King Plastic uses processes that are non-polluting and conserve energy and natural resources, making it economically sound and safe for employees, communities and consumers. The polymers are completely recyclable and all  material waste is recycled back into the original product. When cutting or fabricating, there is no harmful dust, but instead small shavings that are recycled. It contains no known harmful substances, including carcinogens or toxins. Off-gassing does not occur when the sheets are cut and fabricated, and if burned, no harmful gasses are emitted. It is not necessary to use acids or harsh chemicals for cleaning or maintenance.  The outstanding durability of products made using our material maximizes product life cycles thus reducing the overall impact on our environment.

King StarBoard® Family of Products
King StarLite® XL is made from 100% recycled polymers, while King StarBoard® and StarBoard® ST are made from a blend of virgin and recycled polymers. The use of some virgin polymers quality and consistency in the final product. All green King Plastic products are made from only FDA-approved polymers formaldehyde-free and have the most favorable NFPA (fire) and HMIS (hazardous material) ratings.

MicroShield™
King MicroShield is a new kind of antimicrobial protection that helps products stay cleaner between cleanings and inhibits the growth of product-damaging microorganisms, including bacteria, algae and fungi on the surface. The antimicrobial properties of King MicroShield are non-leaching, durable and safe. There are no known harmful substances within King MicroShield and the product is not an ingestion or inhalation hazard. If burned, no harmful gasses are emitted and there is no off-gassing when King StarBoard® ST with MicroShield is cut and fabricated. The antimicrobial agent is EPA-registered and listed with the FDA as a modifier to medical devices.
